Owner Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, worth $800 million, expresses his position on XFL players quitting for NFL money in the words “It Was My Dream Too.”

Dwayne Johnson is a man whose thirst to explore more never quenched, even after attaining unimaginable heights of success in more than one venture. The former WWE champion made a straight leap to Hollywood to better use his unmatched charisma and physique. He used his brain in optimal fashion as he invested in various business projects. Some of the notable ventures include starting his own production house and establishing an entire football league.

The Rock gave his business mastermind a brand new challenge while risking his $15 million to revive XFL from bankruptcy back in 2020. The sports freak bought the whole league along with a group of investors, including his long-term business partner, Dany Garcia. He has worked tirelessly as a guardian angel for XFL to ensure the minor league’s notable success in American football. Johnson laid down the gauntlet for operations in February at the start of the new season with an impassioned speech.

He also spoke affirmatively regarding XFL players aiming to make it to the pinnacle of football- the NFL.

The Rock reveals his sporting takes on the XFL players aiming for NFL

Johnson, being an ardent football fan himself, is always in line with the emotions of the fans and players. He launched the league for channeling his passion and deep love for American football. The league was a passion play for The Rock and not just for the sake of business. The former WWE champion was also an active football player during college, but couldn’t pursue it professionally. But Johnson still has the spirit of football inside him. Therefore, it’s not difficult for him to put himself in the players’ shoes.

In his recent Instagram post, DJ wrote a long post describing what will be his stance in case his XFL players get a call from NFL, the dream league for many. He made it very clear that he will be there cheering for those who made it to the NFL’s court in the future. He noted in the post, ‘Laying for the @NFL is every player’s dream – I know because it was my dream too. And all our players who get “the call” to go to the NFL ~ I’m always gonna be right there rooting you on to make it and make it big!!’

The Great One also emphasized his commitment to the XFL while lending credit to the ones responsible for its success.

Johnson not only appreciates his XFL players making their way to NFL but also he wants to see one NFL player in his league someday.

The Rock wants to see Travis Kelce playing in the XFL

One of the notable players of the NFL, Travis Kelce, is currently gearing up for the 2023 session of the league in which he aims to keep his Super Bowl Champion status intact along with Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes.

Before the big season kicked off, the tight end clicked a picture with the former NFL coach Wade Phillips. The current coach of Roughnecks cracked a joke on social media about his effort to get another TE for his team as well. It didn’t go unnoticed by The Rock, who retweeted the post with the caption, ‘Uncle Wade and my guy @tkelce  I’d love to see Trav in the XFL.

He’d tell me to “Know your role jabroni” cos I can’t afford him 🤣Love seeing these two together.’

Speaking of Johnson’s XFL endeavor, we need to see how his supervision uplifts the fate of the league in the long run.
